Where It All Began
This pioneering learning method was devised by Lisa Childs to teach her daughter, Valerie, when she was 3 years of age. She went on to debut as a concert pianist at only 12 years old playing a concerto by Mozart with full orchestra at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Following a distinguished international career as a concert pianist, Lisa and Valerie ran one of the largest piano schools in the United Kingdom. Alongside many other schools now teaching with the Lisa Childs Books, we are proud to have enabled many careers as concert pianists and teachers running their own schools.
